Ryan Bell, P.E., PTOE
Ryan serves as the director of the transportation group and is a shareholder of the company. With a degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida, Ryan was born and raised in Southwest Florida giving him a keen understanding and inherent appreciation for local transportation issues. Ryan has experience in both the design and construction of various transportation improvement projects. As project manager for various transportation design and CEI projects, such as the Six Mile Cypress widening design, S.R. 31 widening design and the Three Oaks Parkway/Imperial Street CEI, he brings comprehensive management and oversight to all of Johnson Engineering’s transportation projects.
Josh Hildebrand, P.E., PTOE
Josh currently serves as a design engineer and project manager in our transportation group. After graduating from Purdue University in 2007 with a degree in civil engineering, Josh moved to Southwest Florida to pursue his professional career. With his primary focus on roadway design and traffic impact analysis, Josh understands what must be done to successfully plan for and design roadway projects to best serve both the client and the public’s needs. Josh has worked on various projects throughout Southwest Florida including several in Hendry County such as C.R. 78, S.R.29 sidewalks in Felda and the NW Eucalyptus sidewalks in LaBelle and Helms Road.
Phil Chang, P.E.
Phil is the branch manager, overseeing all daily operations for our Lutz office. He serves as a project manager and lead roadway design engineer for our Pasco County clients. He has 22 years of experience, including over four years of Pasco County specific transportation experience. Phil’s knowledge of the County as well as his diverse background that includes roadway design and permitting, provides a unique and beneficial perspective to any Pasco project.
John Glenn, P.E.
John currently serves as an engineer intern in our transportation group. After graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2013, John joined the Johnson Engineering Transportation group full time after completing his second internship. With his primary focus on roadway design, traffic impact analysis, quantity takeoffs and cost estimations, John understands what must be done to successfully plan for and design roadway projects to serve both the clients and publics needs.
Leah Holmes, E.I.
Leah is an engineer intern and a Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector in our Fort Myers office. She is responsible for providing various roadway design functions, traffic analyses and associated permitting. She brings prior experience performing roadway design, drainage design using GIS and ICPR, as well as permitting, traffic analysis and construction observation.
